put·here Terms of Service

1. What it is. put·here is a macOS app for putting ideas, web pages, files and images on canvases, with optional AI to tidy, find and research. By using it you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. Your content is yours. We claim no rights to it. When you use AI, we process and relay your content only to answer that request. You must have the right to use what you put in.

3. put·here AI.

   • It is free, with a monthly allowance that resets on the 1st. The current allowance is the one shown in Settings.
   • We may change allowances, models or features for cost or abuse reasons, and will say so in the app where we can.
   • Do not circumvent the allowance, whether by automation, device spoofing or otherwise, and do not resell it or use it as a general-purpose API.
   • We may disable built-in AI on a device that abuses it. The rest of the app keeps working, and you can use your own key instead.

4. Your own API key. Requests go straight to that provider, who bills you under their own terms. Models we have not tested may behave differently.

5. AI can be wrong. Suggestions, summaries, research and related cards may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. AI proposes; it never edits or deletes your cards. Do not rely on it alone for legal, medical, financial or safety decisions.

6. Not allowed:

   • anything unlawful, or infringing others' intellectual property or privacy;
   • harassment, fraud or malware;
   • attacking, probing or overloading our servers;
   • publishing content you have no right to share.

   We may remove published canvases and disable service for devices that break these rules.

7. Published canvases can be seen by anyone with the link. You can set them to expire or withdraw them. We may remove one on a valid complaint.

8. Updates. The app downloads and installs updates signed by us; this can be turned off in Settings. Features may change.

9. As is. put·here is provided as is, without warranty. Keep your own backups; the app's local snapshots do not replace them.

10. Liability. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data or profits. Our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.

11. Termination. You may stop at any time. We may stop providing built-in AI and publishing to anyone who breaches these terms.

12. Changes. Material changes are announced in the release notes or on the website. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law: the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules; the state or federal courts in Cook County, Illinois. Mandatory consumer protections where you live still apply.

14. Payments and refunds.

    • put·here Plus is USD 7.99 a month or USD 59.99 a year, as shown at checkout; local taxes may apply. It has the same features as Free, with more AI usage (currently 8 times as much).
    • Payments are handled by Paddle.com as merchant of record, which also handles tax and invoices. We never see your payment details.
    • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from your Paddle receipt or by contacting us; you keep Plus until the paid period ends.
    • Within 14 days of a first purchase, you can get a full refund, for any reason: email peterli_lhc@outlook.com with the device number from Settings › AI. After that, mandatory consumer law where you live applies (for example the statutory rights of EU and UK consumers). See the Refund Policy.
    • Price changes apply only from the next renewal and are announced in advance.
    • New devices get a 7-day Plus preview on first AI use, with no payment details asked for. It ends in the free plan, with no charge.
